Looking to take the first step in your career? Hatch is seeking a motivated Junior Operations Analyst to join our Transit Operations Planning and Simulation team in the White River Junction, VT office.
Compensation range depends on education and experience. For ideal candidates, the compensation range can be $60,000-$90,000 annually. Please feel free to contact us for information on additional compensation and programs.
As a Junior Operations Analyst, you will:
Work with industry experts as you learn about rail vehicles, signaling and operations.
Assist Project Managers, Directors, and other Analysts to study and analyze transportation networks, benchmark rail system capacity, and plan operations.
Create technical reports and deliver presentations that help decision-makers navigate multi-billion-dollar projects.
You bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, computer science, physics, environmental science, planning, policy, or related field (relevant professional experience will be considered as a substitute for academic degree requirements)
A strong interest in transportation systems
Proficiency in office productivity software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.)
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Ability to work well in a team that is passionately committed to the pursuit of positive change.

Perform assignments related to your sector
Assist with preparation of detailed design for projects
Support preparation of drawings from detailed notes and specifications
Coordination with other technicians/engineers on projects
Provide support to Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed
