NBCU Corporate groups are uniquely positioned at the core of our organization.  Employees within these groups use their area of expertise to support all businesses across the company, keeping the heart of each brand at the forefront. There are also business-specific opportunities available, which may be included in the descriptions below.

Operations & Technology is a $1B operating cash flow ($1.5B FCF) division of NBCUniversal. The group functions as a global shared service within NBCUniversal performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security. The group operates from numerous locations around the world, including New York, Los Angeles, Denver, Connecticut, and London.

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:

  • Production, Creative Group:  The Production group is part of NBCUniversal’s in-house Creative team. We develop brand and marketing materials across the company’s portfolio—everything from event collateral and signage to internal communications and broadcast assets. It’s a team where design, brand systems, and production work hand-in-hand to bring ideas to life. As a Production Intern, you’ll get hands-on experience with the real work of a creative production team. That means prepping files for print and digital, adapting existing assets, keeping things organized, and helping deliver press-ready materials. You’ll work alongside designers and production professionals learning what it takes to get things right, on time,  and on-brand. While this isn’t a traditional design internship, it is a production-focused position within NBCUniversal’s Creative group and will offer you the possibility to see firsthand how design systems work at scale. You’ll build real skills in typography, file prep, preparing logo systems, and brand layouts along the way. You’ll also get a window into how design translates into tangible products—packaging, signage, large-format graphics, and other event materials. Additionally, you will develop knowledge around print methods, paper stocks, and color systems, and you’ll leave with a much clearer sense of how a creative idea becomes a finished product.
  • Rockefeller Center Operations, Guest Experience (Marketing, Promotions & Merchandising): The Guest Experience Team oversees all Retail, Merchandising, Marketing and Social for the Shop and Tours, Tours, and Audience Operations. Our intern would be exposed to all areas of Merchandising and Marketing through projects promoting the Shop, product development, competitive shopping, Print marketing, Social campaigns, and photoshoots.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027). December 2026 graduates are not eligible for this Academic Year Internship Program.
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027.
  • Must be willing to work in New York, NY.

For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.

NBCUniversal is an E-Verify company, requiring all employees to have an active Social Security number. Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • For Production, Creative Group: Basic understanding of design principles such as typography, layout, and composition; Familiarity with vector and raster graphics and common design file formats; Interest in learning print production fundamentals, including color modes (RGB vs. CMYK), resolution, and how files are prepared for press; Curiosity about color systems and standards used in print production, including Pantone spot colors and color consistency across materials.
  • For Rockefeller Center Operations, Guest Experience: Academic focus on Merchandising, Product Development or Social Media; Strong fluency in Excel; Photoshop literacy.
