Job Description

SERVER JOB SUMMARY

Quickly and efficiently provide guests food and beverage service in server’s section in a warm, professional, and accommodating manner. Quickly and efficiently complete all side-work and opening and closing duties associated with position responsibilities. Maintain a positive work environment and positive working relationship with coworkers. Exceed our guests’ service standards and expectations, while adhering to direction from management. You must have reliable transportation to Franklin and you must be available to work weekends including Sunday.

SERVER ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a positive, high, well-balanced energy level throughout the entire shift
  • Have strong interpersonal communication skills in order to greet guests, answer guest questions and address guest concerns in a warm, professional, and accommodating manner
  • Provide multiple guests food and beverage service in server’s section in a quick, professional, and efficient manner
  • Knowledge of and ability to accurately describe all food and beverage offerings and specials
  • Take accurate orders while maximizing sales using selling techniques and product knowledge
  • Exhibit consistently dependable, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy conduct
  • Provide exemplary guest service on a consistent basis
  • Correct and accurate execution of the POS system
  • Follow all proper cash handling procedures and guidelines
  • Perform all service in compliance with all ABC laws and Company policies that relate to the service of alcoholic beverages and the prohibition against over-service, serving intoxicated patrons and serving minors
  • Complete any and all assigned cleaning duties, including stocking and organization
  • Perform all assigned side-work quickly and efficiently
  • Properly set up and break down stations before and after operating hours

SERVER SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY

  • Knowledge of Teamwork and Toast POS system
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language to interact with guests, the public, and coworkers
  • Proficient verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and professionally deal with stressful situations during busy periods in a loud, busy, and crowded environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction
  • Must have extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, guest relations and service standards
  • Knowledge of proper food handling requirements
  • Knowledge of bar and kitchen items
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of daily maintenance and cleaning of venue
  • Must have knowledge of all required legal documents, i.e., A.B.C., Health Department, Police, City, Etc.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred Experience
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-paced restaurant/bar
  • Must be at least 18 to meet minimum age requirement of the State of Tennessee to serve alcoholic beverages

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

  • Food Handlers Card preferred
  • ABC Server Permit
  • CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred

GROOMING

All employees must wear the proper uniform and maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Company’s grooming standards. This policy is implemented in compliance with the Company’s obligations related to accommodating religious beliefs and practices, medical conditions and disabilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to work in an environment with constantly elevated temperatures
  • Must be able to work and move quickly in a tight-space environment in a safe manner without disrupting other employees
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.

Applicants with additional language skills preferred Compensation: $7.25 PER HOUR PLUS TIPS APPLICANTS MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION TO FRANKLIN AND MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS INCLUDING SUNDAY
