Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Emerson Health and President of EPA, the Senior Physician Recruitment & Relations Specialist plays a critical leadership role in attracting, engaging, and retaining top physician talent across practices affiliated with Emerson Hospital.

In this highly visible role, you’ll partner with executive leadership, administrative teams, and medical staff to design and execute strategic recruitment initiatives that directly support organizational growth and patient care excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive physician recruitment and retention strategy
  • Collaborate with leadership and medical staff to define annual hiring goals and workforce plans
  • Design and manage the recruitment budget, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, tracking, and onboarding physicians
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and physician candidates to ensure a high-quality recruitment experience
  • Monitor and report on recruitment metrics, continuously improving processes and outcomes
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with healthcare regulations and legal guidelines for not-for-profit hospitals

What You Bring

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience

  • 2-3 years of recruitment experience required
  • Experience in physician recruitment, physician relations, human resources, or executive search preferred
  • Prior experience recruiting physicians in a healthcare setting strongly preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities
  • Solid understanding of the healthcare environment, including physician practice operations and recruitment regulations
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong business acumen, including strategic planning, financial management, and business development
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher) and database tools
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
