TITLE: PARTS MANAGER
LOCATION: Scottsville, NY
SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM- 4:00 PM 
SALARY: $75K (Flexible depending on experience) 
REPORTS TO: Parts Manager (Scottsville Shop)

ROLE OVERVIEW: 
The Parts Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the parts department, ensuring efficient inventory management and seamless support for field and service teams. This role is especially critical due to the breadth and complexity of equipment supported, requiring strong knowledge across a diverse fleet that includes light plants, generators, excavators, backhoes, skid steers, and on-road vehicles such as F-150 through F-550 trucks and bucket trucks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and excels at cross-functional collaboration, enabling an effective supply chain and consistently high levels of internal customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Lead and oversee daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to company standards
  • Manage full lifecycle of parts inventory, including procurement, receiving, storage, and tracking
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records and systems
  • Collaborate with sales, service, and field teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of parts requests
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and implement process improvements to minimize discrepancies
  • Analyze usage trends, sales data, and operational needs to forecast demand and optimize stock levels
  • Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures and best practices
REPORTING & LEADERSHIP: 
  • Directly supervise Parts Coordinator and Parts Runners
  • Oversee daily team activities, performance, and adherence to standards
  • Partner with the Director of Fleet on hiring decisions
  • Lead onboarding and training for new team members
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development
  • Foster a high-performing, accountable, and engaged team environment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in parts management or a related field
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Experience in automotive, construction, or heavy equipment parts industry
  • Knowledge of supply chain and inventory control principles
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
