Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing all plant maintenance activities, including both preventative and reactive maintenance. This position involves handling work orders that range from mechanical troubleshooting, such as hydraulic and pneumatic issues, to electrical troubleshooting, including 480v systems and diagnosing PLC issues with inputs and outputs. The role also involves welding and fabricating new parts, replacing motors, and wiring new motors, bearings, rollers, conveyors, and other machinery. A significant portion of the work involves large aluminum extrusion machines.

Shift and Pay

The role is night shift with a rotating 12-hour schedule, working three days on and three days off, including every other weekend, from 7 pm to 7 am.

Pay: $27-$33/hr

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on plant machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting for systems up to 480v.
• Diagnose and repair PLC issues, focusing on inputs and outputs.
• Weld and fabricate new parts as needed.
• Replace and wire new motors, bearings, rollers, conveyors, and other machinery.

Essential Skills

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and repair, focusing on inputs and outputs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480v.
• Strong understanding of schematics and blueprints.
• Proficiency in industrial maintenance, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Welding skills.

Work Environment

The work environment is a foundry setting, characterized by dirty, dusty, and hot conditions. The facility involves metal extrusion processes, requiring the heating and pulling of metal through machines, followed by casting cuts in the shop. This creates an environment with lots of combustion machinery, moving mechanical parts, and hot machinery.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wellsville, PA.

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $68640.00/yr.
