Industrial Maintenance Electrician

Pay ranges from $37 - $43, depending on experience

Aerotek is hiring a Maintenance Electrician to support electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in a food manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in industrial electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, and production equipment.

Job Description:

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing facility
• Work with motors, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, control panels, and power distribution systems
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues to minimize downtime
• Perform preventive maintenance on industrial electrical systems
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Use testing equipment such as voltage detectors to verify safe operation
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
• Maintain documentation of repairs, maintenance, and installations
• Follow electrical codes, safety standards, and plant procedures
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, PLCs, VFDs, and sensors
• Maintain and repair production equipment such as conveyors, packaging machines, mixers, and boilers
• Perform electrical maintenance on automated manufacturing systems
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks to improve equipment reliability
• Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements
• Assist with electrical projects and system upgrades
• Ensure all work meets safety requirements and electrical codes

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician or Maintenance Electrician
• Strong knowledge of 480V 3-phase electrical systems and motor controls
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, and industrial automation equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
• Experience using electrical testing tools and equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in food processing, packaging, or automated manufacturing
• Familiarity with mechanical systems, pneumatics, or general maintenance
• Experience working with conveyors, packaging lines, and processing equipment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

The pay range for this position is $76960.00 - $89440.00/yr.
