Job Description

Salary: $115,600 - 193,200 per year Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent mix of technical education and experience
• Over 3 years of experience in Guidance Navigation and Control engineering
• Proficient in using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX for system modeling

• Establish Guidance, Navigation and Control mission requirements while ensuring traceability and quality from system level to component level
• Utilize multidisciplinary model data to create and refine a complex, nonlinear simulation model consisting of 6 degrees of freedom
• Employ various programming languages, such as C, C++, FORTRAN, and Python to develop, implement, integrate, and test vehicle models and controllers
• Create flight control laws through modern linear control design techniques to meet design and performance criteria
• Conduct advanced nonlinear analysis to evaluate and enhance the control law design
• Validate models against test data to enhance the precision of the simulation environment
• Develop supplementary controllers, limiters, mode logic, and signal shaping to ensure performance stays within all flight envelope areas
• Collaborate with flight simulation and Vehicle Management Systems engineers to integrate control laws into the operational flight program
• Support various flight simulation types including desktop, software, and real-time simulations
• Assist in hardware-in-the-loop development and testing
• Contribute to flight testing planning and execution
• Lead design reviews, analyses, simulations, and component/system testing to guarantee the delivery of products that meet or surpass customer expectations
