Job Description

Snipebridge, a strategic talent solutions company specializing in connecting exceptional talent to great career opportunities in the Architecture & Planning industry, is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer.

Our client is a distinguished San Francisco-based architecture firm located in the South of Market neighborhood. With nearly three decades of experience, their commercial and residential projects celebrate the textural richness of some of California's most spectacular settings.

They create architecture that punctuates the straightforward with the nuanced, architecture that is deliberate without being loud, and subtle without being quiet. The firm believes that a thoughtfully designed and finely crafted personal space is not just an expression of aesthetic sensibility, it enhances function and restores well-being, clarity, and harmony.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is seeking a talented Architectural Designer with 2-5 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, design-sensitive, and possesses excellent organizational and communication skills. You will work as an integral part of project teams, ensuring the translation of design intent into construction documentation across all phases of project delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and develop architectural documents, including elevations, sections, and construction details using Archicad and other design software
  • Collaborate with Project Architects and Project Managers to understand and adhere to project work plans and timelines
  • Participate in all phases of project delivery, from schematic design through construction administration
  • Coordinate with consultants and project team members to ensure design integrity and quality
  • Create presentation materials, including renderings, models, and design drawings for client reviews
  • Conduct research on building codes, zoning regulations, materials, and sustainable design practices
  • Attend site visits and provide in-field support during construction phases
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet aggressive project deadlines
  • Contribute creative design concepts and problem-solving approaches to project challenges

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • 3-7 years of professional experience post grad
  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD preferred (not required)
  • Demonstrated expertise in SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Understanding of building systems, construction methods, and materials
  • Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards
  • Strong technical drawing and detailing skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Interest in materiality, craftsmanship, and the integration of architecture with its environment

All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and must already possess long-term work authorization.
